License Elliot Racine's Music for Your Film or Video
Film, video, and moving images have gone hand in hand with music for me for as long as I can remember. When I was a little kid, one of my favorite things to do was to put on a piece of music that I loved, or have my parents put it on, and imagine animals running, jumping, walking, swimming, and flying along to the music. I actually discovered one of the bands that has had one of the biggest influences on the way I make music—The Velvet Underground—through film. When I was in middle school, there was a period of time when I would come home from school and put on Oliver Stone's The Doors almost every day. I loved the entire movie, but one of the highlights for me was the scene where they were partying with Andy Warhol and his crew and the Velvet Underground songs, “Venus in Furs" and “Heroin” were playing. I was just struck by that music. It felt like rock ‘n roll, but it didn’t sound like it. It really opened my eyes to the idea that I could make rock 'n roll whatever I wanted it to be.
If you are a film or video maker, whether you are making a full-length feature film, or a short video to post on YouTube, or anything in between, if I like what you are doing, chances are I would like to license my music for your film or video.
Just putting it out there, nature documentaries are one of my favorite film genres, and one of my dreams has always been to have my music featured in a nature documentary.
